AI Analysis and User Decisions

How AI-assisted analysis supports manufacturing decisions while keeping customer approval, engineering responsibility, and order scope clear.

Overview

Uretyco uses AI-assisted analysis to make manufacturing choices more understandable. The assistant can explain tradeoffs, identify missing information, and suggest questions that improve quote quality. It should support decisions, not hide uncertainty or replace responsible engineering review.

What AI can help with

  • Manufacturing method suggestions based on geometry, quantity, material target, tolerance, finish, cost, and speed.
  • File readiness checks for STEP/STP, STL, 3MF, DXF, drawings, units, and missing requirements.
  • Material and finish comparisons by strength, heat, corrosion, weight, cost, and availability.
  • Cost-driver explanations and lower-cost alternatives.
  • Clarifying questions before quote confirmation.

What AI does not decide alone

  • Whether a part is safe or legally suitable for a regulated, safety-critical, medical, aerospace, pressure, electrical, food-contact, or child-use application.
  • Final customer approval of process, material, finish, tolerances, quantity, price, and delivery.
  • Binding legal terms, privacy rights, or contractual commitments.
  • Certified engineering analysis, physical testing, or compliance approval unless separately agreed.

Risk-aware use

Use AI with context

AI recommendations improve when the use case is specific. Tell Uretyco about load, environment, expected life, cosmetic needs, quantity, deadline, and any safety or compliance concerns.

FAQ

  • Can I ask why a process was recommended? Yes. Ask the assistant to explain the tradeoff.
  • Can AI guarantee manufacturability? No. It can flag signals and guide choices, but production review may still be required.
  • Can AI replace my engineer? No. It is decision support for manufacturing procurement.
