Checklist overview
A clean upload prevents wrong quotes, production delays, and revision confusion. Use this checklist before submitting a project, especially when ordering a first prototype, a repeat batch, or a part with tight functional requirements.
Before upload
- Confirm the file is the latest revision and remove obsolete versions from the project if they could cause confusion.
- State units clearly, especially for STL, DXF, imported CAD, and drawings from mixed unit systems.
- Upload separate files for each part unless the assembly is intentionally manufactured as one item.
- Provide quantity, material target, finish target, and deadline if known.
- Add a PDF drawing when threads, tolerances, inserts, surface roughness, flatness, bend direction, or inspection reports matter.

Requirements to define
- Material grade or performance target such as strength, heat, chemical, outdoor, weight, or flexibility needs.
- Surface finish, color, texture, coating, polish, edge break, deburring, or visible-face requirements.
- Critical tolerances only where function requires tighter control than typical process tolerance.
- Threads, inserts, press fits, bearings, sealing surfaces, electrical contacts, or mating features.
- Packaging sensitivity, labeling, delivery deadline, and any required inspection documentation.
