Shipping, Packaging & Delivery

How shipping, packaging, delivery expectations, fragile parts, assemblies, labeling, and logistics affect a Uretyco manufacturing order.

Overview

Delivery quality depends on more than production completion. Parts must be cleaned where required, protected from damage, labeled if needed, packed for the shipment method, and sent to the correct destination with realistic transit expectations.

Delivery factors

  • Destination, carrier options, package size, package weight, customs, and remote delivery areas.
  • Part fragility, finish sensitivity, moisture sensitivity, and packaging instructions.
  • Whether the shipment contains one part, multiple part numbers, assemblies, or staged deliveries.
  • Whether documentation, labels, certificates, or order references must ship with the parts.

Before shipment

  1. 1
    Production complete

The supplier completes manufacturing and any finishing operations.

  2. 2
    Inspection complete

Required checks and documentation are completed according to order scope.

  3. 3
    Parts packed

Packaging follows standard handling or special notes included in the order.

  4. 4
    Shipment created

Tracking is generated when carrier handoff is ready.

Reduce delivery risk

  • Tell Uretyco if a surface is cosmetic or fragile.
  • State if parts must be individually packed, labeled, bagged, or kept in sets.
  • Provide correct address, contact, tax, customs, and receiving instructions.
  • Avoid last-minute address changes after shipment preparation begins.

FAQ

  • Can I request special packaging? Yes, if included before production or shipment planning.
  • Can orders ship in batches? It may be possible depending on order scope and supplier routing.
  • Does lead time include transit? The displayed schedule should be reviewed carefully because production and transit can be separate.
