Copper C110 (ETP)

Metals
CopperC110ElectricalConductive

Electrolytic tough pitch copper. The default copper for electrical conductors.

C110 (ETP, electrolytic tough pitch) is 99.9 percent pure copper with the highest electrical and thermal conductivity of any commercially available copper grade. It is the default for bus bars, contacts, and heat exchange components.

Mechanical and physical properties

PropertyValue
Tensile strength210 MPa
Yield strength70 MPa
Elongation at break45%
Density8.94 g/cm³
Modulus117 GPa
Electrical conductivity100% IACS
Thermal conductivity391 W/mK
Machinability rating20

Typical applications

  • Bus bars and electrical conductors.
  • EMI shielding parts.
  • Heat sinks and heat exchanger plates.
  • Electrical terminals and switchgear contacts.
Tough to machine

C110 is gummy and produces stringy chips. Use sharp tools, high speeds, and high feeds; consider C145 (tellurium copper) where machinability matters more than conductivity.

Specifying it on Uretyco

  1. 1
Pick C110 (ETP) from the dropdown

Bar, plate, and sheet stock available.

  2. 2
    Specify plating if needed

Tin or silver for solderability and corrosion.

  3. 3
    Avoid sharp internal corners

Tooling load is high in copper; relax internal radii.

  4. 4
    Consider C145 for thread features

Better chip break for tapped holes.
