C110 (ETP, electrolytic tough pitch) is 99.9 percent pure copper with the highest electrical and thermal conductivity of any commercially available copper grade. It is the default for bus bars, contacts, and heat exchange components.
Mechanical and physical properties
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Tensile strength | 210 MPa |
| Yield strength | 70 MPa |
| Elongation at break | 45% |
| Density | 8.94 g/cm³ |
| Modulus | 117 GPa |
| Electrical conductivity | 100% IACS |
| Thermal conductivity | 391 W/mK |
| Machinability rating | 20 |
Typical applications
- Bus bars and electrical conductors.
- EMI shielding parts.
- Heat sinks and heat exchanger plates.
- Electrical terminals and switchgear contacts.
C110 is gummy and produces stringy chips. Use sharp tools, high speeds, and high feeds; consider C145 (tellurium copper) where machinability matters more than conductivity.
Specifying it on Uretyco
- 1Pick C110 (ETP) from the dropdown
Bar, plate, and sheet stock available.
- 2Specify plating if needed
Tin or silver for solderability and corrosion.
- 3Avoid sharp internal corners
Tooling load is high in copper; relax internal radii.
- 4Consider C145 for thread features
Better chip break for tapped holes.
